Travel: As-required inside and outside the Continental United States.
Schedule: Normal work hours are between 8am and 5pm; however, various mission activities will require a flexible work schedule, sometimes off-hours, weekends and possibly holidays depending on mission needs.
Apply security patches and update Anti-virus definition files. Create, update, and remove user accounts and privileges.Install and configure Microsoft Windows7/Server 2008R2 as well as Microsoft Windows 10/Server 2016, and various COTS products. Understand and have a working knowledge of: Virtualized environments (VMware, VSphere /VMware horizon client). Active Directory, LDAP. BigFix /TEM fixlet generation and execution. File transfer protocol (Tectia SSH cleint/server). Creating and deploying images using Symantec Ghost. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Work with vendors for maintenance support of hardware and software. Ensure all computer and storage resources are configured and maintained to the system baseline. Conduct troubleshooting and restoration activities when resources fail. Monitor local system usage logs, trend and analyze data on system resource usage and reconfigure the system as necessary to ensure the highest levels of availability for operations. During anomaly resolution and installations, accurately follow lead system administrator directions at Ground Integrated Support Facility (GISF). Install/test operating system and firmware upgrades, and security configurations. Write/execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and perform configuration management as needed. Develop scripts to provide reporting and to automate recurring tasks
At least two years professional experience in Windows administration; solid knowledge of systems administration principles in Operational environment. Experience and knowledge of network (LAN/WAN) architecture, protocols and equipment. Experience configuring server and storage hardware. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve server, storage, and network problems. Demonstrated ability to self-manage work assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to work evenings and weekend shifts as needed to support ongoing operations. Demonstrated ability to self-manage work assignments with minimal supervision. At least five years’ professional experience in Windows administration demonstrating solid knowledge of systems administration principles in Operational environment.
Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems. Cisco networking devices. HP Proliant servers. IBM p-series systems. Database products, such as Oracle, MS-SQL, or MySQL. Web development tools, such Java, Java script. Configuring server and storage hardware. IBM Rational Suite of systems Teaming. Excellent communications skills. Familiar with satellite operations, meteorological operations, NASA, or NOAA. Familiar with Raytheon proprietary Equinox® software.
College degree in the discipline and minimum of four (4) year’s relevant experience,
Minimum of twelve (12) years relevant experience will be considered in lieu of college degree.
